M.A.G.M.A. Mountain Area Gem and Mineral Association Annual Fall Picnic October 15th, 2005 photos by: Sharon Cummings and Rick Jacquot Time to report on yet another fantastic annual fall M.A.G.M.A. Picnic. The weather was perfect. This year the picnic was held at our member Sharon's house. Sharon owned and operated the Opalhaus Rock shop for many years and has decided to sell off much of her old stock. Steve P., Robert and Linda and Sharon spent a lot of time setting up everything for the event and it was great. The combined picnic and sale was a blast for the members who attended. Great food and great deals on rocks of all kinds, there was cutting material, gemstones, specimens of all kinds, jewelry and to much more to list. Steve Penley Many of our regulars could not be at the picnic. Some are still down in Louisiana working on the hurricane relief and we missed them. Maggie got her own special parking space, she was to fat to fit in the drive. As usual we had a ton of excellent food and it was getting time to eat!
