By mid morning Friday, the place was booming with vendors setting up their booths for the weekends dig.

As the day wore on, business started to pick up from the diggers coming out of the pits for a lunch break.

Jonathan hauling Tom Leary down to the pit. Notice the 55 gallon drum on the back of the golfcart. Tom had it half full of water and had set up a washing plant at the foot of the mountain to screen for rutile in the piles.

I was selling a selection of Diamond Hill amethyst and Tom had brought a bunch of his lab grown bismuth crystals to sell.
