Field Trip Report:
Field Trip Report: As the day progressed, people began to slowly come out of the pit with their material. Several people looked as if they had overloaded themselves; but they had a huge smile on their faces. The following show some of these happy people: Keith Kay Lizzie Wayne As people would come by our tent, I would occasionally take pictures of their finds. The following pictures show some of the material that was collected: The Fall 2010 Glendon pyrite dig turned out be a wonderful adventure. Everyone had a chance to find and collect as much pyrite as they wanted from the recently blasted pit floor. It was very dry and no one needed to wear their rubber boots. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cody, the mine representative for all of his help and assistance. I know it must be a great aggravation to the mine to have 117 people visit their site; but we are so glad they do. As for our MAGMA members, they were very polite and assisted others when needed. Thanks everyone for making this a very enjoyable day in the pyrite capitol of the world. P.S. I couldn't remember everyone's name, so if you did not get named in a picture, send an email to Rick at rick@wncrocks.com and he can add it to the report. |
